Our previous visit to Bangalore was during Nov 2011. [Read here].
This time, we started from Chennai on Wednesday, 15th Feb 2012, by Lalbagh Express (3-35PM). Krithika dropped us at Adyar Depot busstop at 2-10PM. [Vasu and Sruti also came with us in the car - they proceeded to TNagar]. We could get a bus after 20 minutes and that created a little tension. However, we could reach the train on PF 10 by 3-10PM.
We travelled as usual by AC Chair car. The train reached Bangalore Cantonment by 1015PM and Ashok was waiting for us. We reached home by 11-15. Earlier, we ate Chapati - Avaraikkai Koottu in the train.
Friday, 17 Feb: We two went to the nearby MEENAKSHI MALL. A huge mall.
Sunday, 19 Feb: Anand and family came; they had lunch here and left at 3PM.
Monday, 20 Feb: Vijaya's 1965-classmate Mrs Mahalakshmi visited. She is from Banaswadi. Neeraja prepared bajji for her. She left at 4PM after spending nearly two hours with Vijaya.
Tuesday, 21 Feb: Steig Larsson, a Swedish author has written three books, titled Millennium Triology. Today, I finished reading the Book I of the triology - The Girl with the Golden Tattoo. Pacy novel. Larsson, [b:1954], suddenly and unexpectedly died in Nov 2004, soon after delivering the manuscripts for the three crime novels to his Swedish publisher. Tragically, Larsson did not live to see the phenomenon his work has become.
Wednesday, 22 Feb: I booked our ONW ticket to New Delhi by TN Express 2AC [22 May 2012]. Total fare for two of us -- Rs 2298.00. Earlier on 18th i booked another ticket by Duronto Express 2AC for 18 May [ Fare Rs 2930/-]
We received the sad and shocking news that Meenakshi [37], wife of Krishnaraj, committed suicide at 4-30PM this evening at Thane, falling from the 8th floor. They have a child, Skanda, aged 1 y 9 m. She died at the hospital after 3 hours (at 7-30PM]
Thursday, 23 Feb: Saradambal Mami passed away in Bangalore (Udayanagar) at 1120 night yesterday. We two went there in a taxi - left home at 0900 and reached there after two hours at 11. We met Mami's daughter Vijaya, and Vijaya's son Karthik and daughter Prasanna. Gopu Anna, his daughter Yoga came from Salem. Kittu Mama's daughters Kalpagam and Geeta also came from Salem. We left that place at 1215 and reached our house by 1-45PM. Mami was 87 and she was the last link in our Amma's side.
Friday, 24 Feb: We two went to Meenakshi Mall.
Sunday, 26 Feb: We went to G Balasubramanian's house [Gaythri's parents] at Koramangala. Gayathri's brother Ramana has purchased this house in November 2011 and they shifted on 31 Dec 2011. We went there by bus / auto. Lunch there and we left by 4-30PM by 201R bus. At MICO Layout [BTM] we went to Ramasubramanian's house [Neeraja's parents] After an hour there, we came home by bus.
Monday, 27 Feb: Got the news from Thane that Sundaresan got the ECHO test done. Multiple Blocks. Bypass to be performed.
Friday, 2 Mar: Went to SPAR mall; I have written about this mall earlier. I like this mall a lot. Today we purchased a number of things.
Saturday 3 Mar: Today, I finished the second book on the Millennium triology - The Girl Who Played with the Fire - still more pacy than the I book. I finished this book, 644 pages, in just 2 days !
Monday 5 Mar: Today, I finished the third book on the Millennium Triology - The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest - the paciest of the three. 746 pages, I read it in under two days !
Tuesday 6 Mar: We went to Big Bazaar Mall at Jayanagar. Earlier we went to Rajvardhan shop and ate batata Vada. The big bazaar disappinted us. It has become a dull, drab shop.
Wednesday 7 Mar: All four of us went to Jayanagar 9th block in car and purchased all the poojai items for tomorrow's Satyanarayana Poojai. On the way back, we went to Makhan Bhog to have dinner - this eatery too has deteorated a lot. Very dull and nothing to choose from. Just Thaali was being served, and we had to eat this. Another eatery on the downswing and to be closed shortly, I guess.
Thursday 8 Mar: Sri Satyanarayana Poojai. Started by 5-45 PM and completed by 8-15. Parents of Neeraja and Prasanna - Valli attended the Poojai. Dinner for all incl Sastrigal. The function was grand as usual.
Friday 9 Mar: Rahul Dravid retired from Test cricket.
Saturday 10 Mar: Our tickets by Shatabdi have been confirmed, C2 coach. All the four of ua left house by 2-30PM in car and reached City station by 3-45. The train arrived by 4-25 and we left Bangalore by 4-45 PM. Dinner was served in the train and we reached Chennai at 9-15. Arvind and Aditi came to Central to pick us. Thus our visit to Bangalore for 25 days came to an end.
Savithri returned to Hosur this morning from Mathura / Delhi.

Determining Muhurtham
ஒரு விசேஷத்திற்கு - உபநயனமோ, ஸீமந்தமோ, க்ரஹப் பிரவேசமோ, விவாஹமோ - எப்படி நல்ல நாள், நல்ல நேரம் கணிப்பது எப்படி என்பதை பார்ப்போம்.
முஹூர்த்த நிர்ணயம் செய்யும் க்ரமம் (வரிசை):-
பாம்பு பஞ்சாங்கத்தை பக்கத்தில் வைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.
முதலில் யாருக்கு விசேஷம் நடக்கப்போகிறதோ அவரது ஜன்ம நக்ஷத்திரத்தையும், அது எத்தனையாவது நக்ஷத்திரம் (அஸ்வினி - ரேவதி வரிசையில்) என்பதையும் குறித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். உபநயனம் என்றால் அந்தப் பையன், சீமந்தம் என்றால் அந்தப் பெண்.
1. எந்தத் தமிழ் மாதத்தில் முஹூர்த்தம் பார்க்கவேண்டுமோ அந்த மாதத்தில் செவ்வாய், சனி ஆகிய நாட்களை அடித்து விட்டு மற்ற நாட்களை எழுதிக் கொள்க. [ஞாயிறு, திங்கள் ஒரு கண்ணுள்ளவை; புதன், வியாழன், வெள்ளி இரண்டு கண்ணுள்ளவை; செவ்வாய், சனி கண்ணில்லாதவை. எனவே செவ்வாய், சனியில் எந்த விசேஷமும் செய்யக்கூடாது; ஞாயிறு திங்கள் மத்திமம்; புதன், வியாழன், வெள்ளி மிகவும் சிறந்தவை]
2. மரண யோகம் என்று போட்டிருக்கும் நாட்களையும் அடித்து விடுங்கள்.
3. தீதுறு நக்ஷத்திரங்கள் (ஆகாத நக்ஷத்திரங்கள்) என சில நக்ஷத்திரங்கள் உள்ளன -- பரணி, கார்த்திகை, ஆயில்யம், பூரம், கேட்டை, பூராடம், பூரட்டாதி. இந்த 7 நக்ஷத்திரங்கள் உள்ள நாட்களை அடித்து விடுங்கள்.
4. அடுத்து சந்திராஷ்டம நாட்களை ஒதுக்கி விடுங்கள். பையனின் ஜன்ம ராசிக்கு (அதையும் சேர்த்து) எட்டாவது ராசி என்ன என்று கணக்கிடுங்கள். For example, ஹஸ்த நக்ஷத்திரம் கன்னி ராசியில் உள்ளது; கன்னிக்கு எட்டாம் இடத்தில் மேஷ ராசி உள்ளது. மேஷ ராசியில் அஸ்வினி, பரணி, கிருத்திகை(1ம் பாதம்) நக்ஷத்திரங்கள் உள்ளன. இந்த நக்ஷத்திரங்கள் வரும் நாட்களை கன்னி ராசிக்காரர்கள் எல்லா சுப காரியங்களுக்கும் ஒதுக்க வேண்டும். மற்ற ராசிகளுக்கும் இவ்வாறே கணக்கிடவும்.
5. ஆகாத திதிகள்:
அமாவாசை, பிரதமை, அஷ்டமி, நவமி, பௌர்ணமி ஆகாத திதிகள் - ஒதுக்க வேண்டியவை.
சதுர்த்தி, ஏகாதசி, சதுர்த்தசி மத்திமமானவை.
த்விதியை, த்ருதியை, பஞ்சமி, ஸப்தமி, தசமி, த்வாதஸி, த்ரையோதஸி மிகவும் சிறந்தவை.
6. அடுத்து, தாரா பலன் பார்க்க வேண்டும்.
தாரா பலன் பார்க்க, மொத்தமுள்ள 27 நக்ஷத்திரங்களையும் கீழ்க்கண்டவாறு 9 க்ருப்பாக பிரித்துள்ளனர்.
க்ரூப் 1 - அஸ்வினி, மகம், மூலம்
க்ரூப் 2 - பரணி, பூரம், பூராடம்
க்ரூப் 3 - கார்த்திகை, உத்திரம், உத்திராடம்
க்ரூப் 4 - ரோஹிணி, ஹஸ்தம், திருவோணம்
க்ரூப் 5 - மிருகசீரிஷம், சித்திரை, அவிட்டம்
க்ரூப் 6 - திருவாதிரை, ஸ்வாதி, ஸதயம்
க்ரூப் 7 - புனர்பூசம், விசாகம், பூரட்டாதி
க்ருப் 8 - பூசம், அனுஷம், உத்திரட்டாதி
க்ருப் 9 - ஆயில்யம், கேட்டை, ரேவதி
6A. யாருக்கு விசேஷமோ (உபநயன பையன் for example) அவரது ஜன்ம நக்ஷத்திரம் எந்த் க்ரூப்பில் உள்ளது என எழுதிக்கொள்ளுங்கள். அந்த க்ரூப்பிலிருந்து (அதையும் சேர்த்து) 2,4,6,8,9 ஆகிய க்ரூப்களில் உள்ள நக்ஷத்திரங்கள் உள்ள நாட்கள் தாரா பலன் உள்ளவை. 1, 3, 5, 7 ஆகிய க்ரூப்களை ஒதுக்கவும்.
6 AA. இந்த தாரா பலன் எல்லா சுப காரியங்களுக்கும் பார்த்தல் நல்லது. பணம் வாங்குவதற்கோ, பரீக்ஷைக்கு பணம் கட்டுவதற்கோ, வீடு, ஸ்கூட்டர், கார் வாங்குவதற்க்கோ, அட்வான்ஸ் கொடுப்பதற்கோ, etc etc எல்லா சுப காரியங்களுக்கும் உங்கள் நக்ஷத்திரத்திற்கு பொருத்தமான தாரா பலன் உள்ள நாளை தேர்ந்தெடுங்கள், நல்லது.
6 B. உதாரணத்திற்கு ஜன்ம நக்ஷத்திரம் ஹஸ்தம் எனக் கொள்வோம். ஹஸ்தம் க்ருப் 4-ல் உள்ளது. எனவே மிருகசீரிஷ்ம், சித்திரை, அவிட்டம் (ஹஸ்தம் க்ரூப்பிலிருந்து 2-வது), புனர்பூசம், விசாகம், பூரட்டாதி (க்ரூப்பிலிருந்து 4-வது), ஆயில்யம், கேட்டை, ரேவதி (6-வது), பரணி, பூரம், பூராடம், (8வது), கார்த்திகை, உத்திரம், உத்திராடம் (ஹஸ்தத்திலிருந்து 9வது க்ரூப்)- இந்த நக்ஷத்திரங்கள், ஹஸ்தம், ரோஹிணி, திருவோணம் நக்ஷத்திரக்காரர்களுக்கு தாரா பலன் உள்ளவை
6 C. இவற்றிலும், தீதுறு (ஆகாத) நக்ஷத்திரங்களை விலக்கவும்; மிஞ்சுவது உத்திரம், உத்திராடம், மிருகசீரிஷம், சித்திரை, அவிட்டம், புனர்பூசம், ரேவதி. இவையே ”ரோஹிணி, ஹஸ்தம், திருவோண நக்ஷத்திர”க்காரர்களுக்கு சிறந்த தினப் பொருத்தம் உள்ள நக்ஷத்திரங்கள். இதே போன்று உங்கள் நக்ஷத்திரதிற்கும் பார்க்கவும்.
7. பாக்கித் தேறிய தினங்களில் வளர் பிறையில் உள்ள தினமாகவும், இரு கண்ணுள்ள (புதன், வியாழன், வெள்ளி) நாளாகவும் உள்ள ஒரு நாளை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, அந் நாளை தமிழ், ஆங்கில தேதிகளுடன் ஒரு பேப்பரில் எழுதிக்கொள்க. 30-05-2012 வளர்பிறையில் (சுக்ல பக்ஷம்) வரும் தசமி திதி - சிறந்தது.
8. நல்ல நேரம் (லக்னம்) அமைப்பது. முக்கியமானது.
தேர்ந்தெடுத்த நாளின் ராசி இருப்பை பஞ்சாங்கத்தில் பார்த்து எழுதிக் கொள்ளவும். உதாரணத்திற்கு, நந்தன வருஷம் வைகாசி 17 (2012, மே 30) புதன்கிழமையன்று சூரிய உதயத்தின் போது ரிஷப ராசி இருப்பு 2-35 நாழிகை. ஒரு நாழிகைக்கு 24 நிமிஷங்கள் வீதம் இது சுமாராக் 60 நிமிஷங்கள், அதாவது 1 மணி நேரம்.
2012 மே 30ஆம் தேதி புதுதில்லியில் (77:17 E, 28:38 N) சூரிய உதயம் 5-24க்கு ஆகிறது. (US Naval Observatory data) 6-24 வரை ரிஷப லக்னம். பின்னர் பஞ்சாங்கத்தில் 6-ம் பக்கத்தில் உள்ளபடி அடுத்து வரும் லக்னங்களின் நேரத்தை எழுதிக் கொள்ளவும்.
8A விசேஷம் நடக்கும் ஊரின் அக்ஷரேகையை பொறுத்து அடுத்து வரும் லக்னங்களின் நேரம் மாறுபடும். கடலூர் 11 டிகிரி சென்னை மற்றும் பெங்களூர் அக்ஷரேகை 13 டிகிரி; பூனா 18 டிகிரி; மும்பை 19 டிகிரி; டில்லி 28 டிகிரி. பஞ்சாங்கத்தில் 6ம் பக்கத்தில் (New Delhi) 28 டிகிரிக்கு உரித்தான லக்னமானம் (காலம்) மிதுனத்திற்கு 5:34 என்றும், அடுத்த கடகத்திற்கு 5:48 எனவும், சிம்மத்திற்கு 5:43 எனவும் போடப்பட்டிருப்பதை காணலாம்.
8B காலை 6-24 வரை ரிஷப லக்னம் என மேலே பார்த்தோம். அடுத்து மிதுனத்தில் 5:34 நாழிகை (அதாவது 134 நிமிஷங்கள் 2மணி 14 நிமிஷங்கள்) கூட்டினால், காலை 6-24 முதல் 8-38 வரை மிதுன லக்னம்; கடக லக்ன நேரமான 5:48 நாழிகை (அதாவது 139 நிமிஷங்கள் 2 மணி 19 நி) கூட்ட, காலை 8-38 லிருந்து 10:57 வரை கடக லக்னம். கடக லக்னத்தை தேர்ந்தெடுப்போம்.
8C க்ரஹ பிரவேசத்தை தவிர்த்து வேறு எந்த விசேஷத்தையும் பகல் 12 மணிக்கு மேல் ஆரம்பிப்பது வழக்கமில்லை, உசிதமுமில்லை.
9. ஸ்தான சுத்தம். ஸ்தான சுத்தம் பார்ப்பது மிக முக்கியம்.
9A தேர்ந்தெடுத்த ஒரு நாளின் அன்றைய க்ரஹங்களின் நிலையைக் குறிப்பது கோசாரம் என அழைக்கப்படும். 12 கட்டங்களில் சில கட்டங்களை தவிர்த்து மற்ற கட்டங்களில் சூரியன், சந்திரன், செவ்வாய், புதன், குரு, சுக்ரன், சனி, ராகு, கேது ஆகிய 9 க்ரஹங்களும் காணப்படும்.
9B தேர்ந்தெடுத்துள்ள லக்னத்திலிருந்து (8B) அதையும் சேர்த்து பிரதக்ஷிணமாக எண்ணி வந்தால், எட்டாம் இடம் (ஸ்தானம்) ஒரு க்ரஹமும் இல்லாமல் சுத்தமாக இருக்க வேண்டும். இதுதான் ஸ்தான சுத்தம். உபநயனத்திற்கும், சீமந்தத்திற்கும் எட்டாம் இடம்; விவாஹத்திற்கு 7ம் இடம், க்ரஹப்ரவேசத்திற்கு 12ம் இடமும் சுத்தமாக இருக்க வேண்டும். இதை ஒட்டி நாளையும், லக்னத்தையும் நிர்ணயிக்க வேண்டும்.
30-05-2012 அன்று கடக லக்னத்திலிருந்து 8வதும் 9வதும் ஸ்தானங்கள் சுத்தமானவை.
10 பஞ்சகம். இது இன்னும் முக்கியமானது.
10A பஞ்சகமில்லாத நாட்களில் முஹூர்த்தங்கள் பண்ணக் கூடாது. மேற்சொன்னவாறு முஹூர்த்த நாளையும் லக்னத்தையும் தேர்ந்தெடுத்த பிறகு, பஞ்சகம் பார்க்க வேண்டும்.
10B அந்த நாளின் திதி, வாரம் (கிழமை), நக்ஷத்திரம், லக்னம் இவற்றின் எண்களோடு லக்ன துருவ எண்ணையும் கூட்ட வேண்டும். மேஷ லக்னத்திற்கு 5, ரிஷபத்திற்கு 7, மகரத்திற்கு 2, கும்பத்திற்கு 4, மீன லக்னத்திற்கு 6 என லக்ன துருவ எண்கள் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளன. மற்ற லக்னங்களுக்கு துருவ எண் கிடையாது.
10C உதாரணத்திற்கு நந்தன வருஷம் வைகாசி 17 [2012 மே 30] அன்று பார்க்கலாம் --
அன்று திதி = தசமி; திதி எண் 10. (பிரதமை முதல் எண்ணவும்)
வாரம் (கிழமை) = புதன்; எண் 4 (ஞாயிறு முதல் எண்ணவும்)
நக்ஷத்திரம் = உத்திரம் எண் 12 (அஸ்வினி முதல் எண்ணவும்)
லக்னம் = கடகம்; எண் 4
லக்ன துருவ எண் = 0
10 + 4 + 12 + 4 + 0 = 30. இதை 9-ஆல் வகுக்க மீதி 3 வருகிறது;
மீதி 3, 5, 7, 9 (0) வந்தால் உத்தம பஞ்சகம் (நிஷ்பஞ்சகம்) சிறந்தது.
மீதி 1 வந்தால் மிருத்யு, 2-அக்னி, 4-ராஜ, 5-சோர, 8-ரோக பஞ்சகம்- நல்லவை அல்ல. ஆனாலும், இவற்றிற்கு பரிகாரங்களும் உண்டு என சில பஞ்சாங்கங்களில் போட்டிருப்பார்கள்.
10D பஞ்சகம் இவற்றில் ஒன்றாக அமையாவிட்டால் வேறு லக்னம்
வைக்க வாய்ப்பு இருக்கிறதா என பார்க்கவேண்டும். பகல் 12 மணிக்குப் பிறகு க்ருஹப்ரவேசம் தவிர மற்ற சுப காரியங்கள் செய்யக்கூடாது. வேறு லக்னத்திற்கு வாய்ப்பின்றி, வேறு நாளிலும் செய்ய வழியில்லாத போது பஞ்சகப் ப்ரீதி பண்ணி சுபம் பண்ணலாம்.
11. ராகு காலம் எம கண்டத்தில் கவனம் வேண்டும்.
எல்லாவற்றையும் நன்றாகக் கணித்துவிட்டு கடைசியில் ராகு காலம், எம கண்டத்தை மறந்துபோய்விடுகிறவர்கள் உண்டு. எனவே நாம் தேர்ந்தெடுத்த லக்னத்தில் ராகு, அல்லது எமகண்டம் வந்தால், ராகு - எமகண்ட காலம் முடிந்த பிறகு லக்னத்தில் பாக்கி உள்ள நேரத்தைக் கொண்டு முஹூர்த்தம் நிர்ணயிக்கவேண்டும்.
2012 வருஷம் மே மாசம் 30ஆம் தேதி புதன்கிழமையாதலால், காலை 7.30 முதல் 9.00 வரை எமகண்டம். எனவே எமகண்டம் முடிந்த பிறகு - அதாவது காலை 9 மணிக்கு மேல் 11 மணிக்குள் கடக லக்னத்தில் முஹுர்த்தம் அமைக்க வேண்டும்.

6A. யாருக்கு விசேஷமோ (உபநயன பையன் for example) அவரது ஜன்ம நக்ஷத்திரம் எந்த் க்ரூப்பில் உள்ளது என எழுதிக்கொள்ளுங்கள். அந்த க்ரூப்பிலிருந்து (அதையும் சேர்த்து) 2,4,6,8,9 ஆகிய க்ரூப்களில் உள்ள நக்ஷத்திரங்கள் உள்ள நாட்கள் தாரா பலன் உள்ளவை. 1, 3, 5, 7 ஆகிய க்ரூப்களை ஒதுக்கவும்.
6 AA. இந்த தாரா பலன் எல்லா சுப காரியங்களுக்கும் பார்த்தல் நல்லது. பணம் வாங்குவதற்கோ, பரீக்ஷைக்கு பணம் கட்டுவதற்கோ, வீடு, ஸ்கூட்டர், கார் வாங்குவதற்க்கோ, அட்வான்ஸ் கொடுப்பதற்கோ, etc etc எல்லா சுப காரியங்களுக்கும் உங்கள் நக்ஷத்திரத்திற்கு பொருத்தமான தாரா பலன் உள்ள நாளை தேர்ந்தெடுங்கள், நல்லது.
6 B. உதாரணத்திற்கு ஜன்ம நக்ஷத்திரம் ஹஸ்தம் எனக் கொள்வோம். ஹஸ்தம் க்ருப் 4-ல் உள்ளது. எனவே மிருகசீரிஷ்ம், சித்திரை, அவிட்டம் (ஹஸ்தம் க்ரூப்பிலிருந்து 2-வது), புனர்பூசம், விசாகம், பூரட்டாதி (க்ரூப்பிலிருந்து 4-வது), ஆயில்யம், கேட்டை, ரேவதி (6-வது), பரணி, பூரம், பூராடம், (8வது), கார்த்திகை, உத்திரம், உத்திராடம் (ஹஸ்தத்திலிருந்து 9வது க்ரூப்)- இந்த நக்ஷத்திரங்கள், ஹஸ்தம், ரோஹிணி, திருவோணம் நக்ஷத்திரக்காரர்களுக்கு தாரா பலன் உள்ளவை
6 C. இவற்றிலும், தீதுறு (ஆகாத) நக்ஷத்திரங்களை விலக்கவும்; மிஞ்சுவது உத்திரம், உத்திராடம், மிருகசீரிஷம், சித்திரை, அவிட்டம், புனர்பூசம், ரேவதி. இவையே ”ரோஹிணி, ஹஸ்தம், திருவோண நக்ஷத்திர”க்காரர்களுக்கு சிறந்த தினப் பொருத்தம் உள்ள நக்ஷத்திரங்கள். இதே போன்று உங்கள் நக்ஷத்திரதிற்கும் பார்க்கவும்.
7. பாக்கித் தேறிய தினங்களில் வளர் பிறையில் உள்ள தினமாகவும், இரு கண்ணுள்ள (புதன், வியாழன், வெள்ளி) நாளாகவும் உள்ள ஒரு நாளை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, அந் நாளை தமிழ், ஆங்கில தேதிகளுடன் ஒரு பேப்பரில் எழுதிக்கொள்க. 30-05-2012 வளர்பிறையில் (சுக்ல பக்ஷம்) வரும் தசமி திதி - சிறந்தது.
8. நல்ல நேரம் (லக்னம்) அமைப்பது. முக்கியமானது.
தேர்ந்தெடுத்த நாளின் ராசி இருப்பை பஞ்சாங்கத்தில் பார்த்து எழுதிக் கொள்ளவும். உதாரணத்திற்கு, நந்தன வருஷம் வைகாசி 17 (2012, மே 30) புதன்கிழமையன்று சூரிய உதயத்தின் போது ரிஷப ராசி இருப்பு 2-35 நாழிகை. ஒரு நாழிகைக்கு 24 நிமிஷங்கள் வீதம் இது சுமாராக் 60 நிமிஷங்கள், அதாவது 1 மணி நேரம்.
2012 மே 30ஆம் தேதி புதுதில்லியில் (77:17 E, 28:38 N) சூரிய உதயம் 5-24க்கு ஆகிறது. (US Naval Observatory data) 6-24 வரை ரிஷப லக்னம். பின்னர் பஞ்சாங்கத்தில் 6-ம் பக்கத்தில் உள்ளபடி அடுத்து வரும் லக்னங்களின் நேரத்தை எழுதிக் கொள்ளவும்.
8A விசேஷம் நடக்கும் ஊரின் அக்ஷரேகையை பொறுத்து அடுத்து வரும் லக்னங்களின் நேரம் மாறுபடும். கடலூர் 11 டிகிரி சென்னை மற்றும் பெங்களூர் அக்ஷரேகை 13 டிகிரி; பூனா 18 டிகிரி; மும்பை 19 டிகிரி; டில்லி 28 டிகிரி. பஞ்சாங்கத்தில் 6ம் பக்கத்தில் (New Delhi) 28 டிகிரிக்கு உரித்தான லக்னமானம் (காலம்) மிதுனத்திற்கு 5:34 என்றும், அடுத்த கடகத்திற்கு 5:48 எனவும், சிம்மத்திற்கு 5:43 எனவும் போடப்பட்டிருப்பதை காணலாம்.
8B காலை 6-24 வரை ரிஷப லக்னம் என மேலே பார்த்தோம். அடுத்து மிதுனத்தில் 5:34 நாழிகை (அதாவது 134 நிமிஷங்கள் 2மணி 14 நிமிஷங்கள்) கூட்டினால், காலை 6-24 முதல் 8-38 வரை மிதுன லக்னம்; கடக லக்ன நேரமான 5:48 நாழிகை (அதாவது 139 நிமிஷங்கள் 2 மணி 19 நி) கூட்ட, காலை 8-38 லிருந்து 10:57 வரை கடக லக்னம். கடக லக்னத்தை தேர்ந்தெடுப்போம்.
8C க்ரஹ பிரவேசத்தை தவிர்த்து வேறு எந்த விசேஷத்தையும் பகல் 12 மணிக்கு மேல் ஆரம்பிப்பது வழக்கமில்லை, உசிதமுமில்லை.
9. ஸ்தான சுத்தம். ஸ்தான சுத்தம் பார்ப்பது மிக முக்கியம்.
9A தேர்ந்தெடுத்த ஒரு நாளின் அன்றைய க்ரஹங்களின் நிலையைக் குறிப்பது கோசாரம் என அழைக்கப்படும். 12 கட்டங்களில் சில கட்டங்களை தவிர்த்து மற்ற கட்டங்களில் சூரியன், சந்திரன், செவ்வாய், புதன், குரு, சுக்ரன், சனி, ராகு, கேது ஆகிய 9 க்ரஹங்களும் காணப்படும்.
9B தேர்ந்தெடுத்துள்ள லக்னத்திலிருந்து (8B) அதையும் சேர்த்து பிரதக்ஷிணமாக எண்ணி வந்தால், எட்டாம் இடம் (ஸ்தானம்) ஒரு க்ரஹமும் இல்லாமல் சுத்தமாக இருக்க வேண்டும். இதுதான் ஸ்தான சுத்தம். உபநயனத்திற்கும், சீமந்தத்திற்கும் எட்டாம் இடம்; விவாஹத்திற்கு 7ம் இடம், க்ரஹப்ரவேசத்திற்கு 12ம் இடமும் சுத்தமாக இருக்க வேண்டும். இதை ஒட்டி நாளையும், லக்னத்தையும் நிர்ணயிக்க வேண்டும்.
30-05-2012 அன்று கடக லக்னத்திலிருந்து 8வதும் 9வதும் ஸ்தானங்கள் சுத்தமானவை.
10 பஞ்சகம். இது இன்னும் முக்கியமானது.
10A பஞ்சகமில்லாத நாட்களில் முஹூர்த்தங்கள் பண்ணக் கூடாது. மேற்சொன்னவாறு முஹூர்த்த நாளையும் லக்னத்தையும் தேர்ந்தெடுத்த பிறகு, பஞ்சகம் பார்க்க வேண்டும்.
10B அந்த நாளின் திதி, வாரம் (கிழமை), நக்ஷத்திரம், லக்னம் இவற்றின் எண்களோடு லக்ன துருவ எண்ணையும் கூட்ட வேண்டும். மேஷ லக்னத்திற்கு 5, ரிஷபத்திற்கு 7, மகரத்திற்கு 2, கும்பத்திற்கு 4, மீன லக்னத்திற்கு 6 என லக்ன துருவ எண்கள் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளன. மற்ற லக்னங்களுக்கு துருவ எண் கிடையாது.
10C உதாரணத்திற்கு நந்தன வருஷம் வைகாசி 17 [2012 மே 30] அன்று பார்க்கலாம் --
அன்று திதி = தசமி; திதி எண் 10. (பிரதமை முதல் எண்ணவும்)
வாரம் (கிழமை) = புதன்; எண் 4 (ஞாயிறு முதல் எண்ணவும்)
நக்ஷத்திரம் = உத்திரம் எண் 12 (அஸ்வினி முதல் எண்ணவும்)
லக்னம் = கடகம்; எண் 4
லக்ன துருவ எண் = 0
10 + 4 + 12 + 4 + 0 = 30. இதை 9-ஆல் வகுக்க மீதி 3 வருகிறது;
மீதி 3, 5, 7, 9 (0) வந்தால் உத்தம பஞ்சகம் (நிஷ்பஞ்சகம்) சிறந்தது.
மீதி 1 வந்தால் மிருத்யு, 2-அக்னி, 4-ராஜ, 5-சோர, 8-ரோக பஞ்சகம்- நல்லவை அல்ல. ஆனாலும், இவற்றிற்கு பரிகாரங்களும் உண்டு என சில பஞ்சாங்கங்களில் போட்டிருப்பார்கள்.
10D பஞ்சகம் இவற்றில் ஒன்றாக அமையாவிட்டால் வேறு லக்னம்
வைக்க வாய்ப்பு இருக்கிறதா என பார்க்கவேண்டும். பகல் 12 மணிக்குப் பிறகு க்ருஹப்ரவேசம் தவிர மற்ற சுப காரியங்கள் செய்யக்கூடாது. வேறு லக்னத்திற்கு வாய்ப்பின்றி, வேறு நாளிலும் செய்ய வழியில்லாத போது பஞ்சகப் ப்ரீதி பண்ணி சுபம் பண்ணலாம்.
11. ராகு காலம் எம கண்டத்தில் கவனம் வேண்டும்.
எல்லாவற்றையும் நன்றாகக் கணித்துவிட்டு கடைசியில் ராகு காலம், எம கண்டத்தை மறந்துபோய்விடுகிறவர்கள் உண்டு. எனவே நாம் தேர்ந்தெடுத்த லக்னத்தில் ராகு, அல்லது எமகண்டம் வந்தால், ராகு - எமகண்ட காலம் முடிந்த பிறகு லக்னத்தில் பாக்கி உள்ள நேரத்தைக் கொண்டு முஹூர்த்தம் நிர்ணயிக்கவேண்டும்.
2012 வருஷம் மே மாசம் 30ஆம் தேதி புதன்கிழமையாதலால், காலை 7.30 முதல் 9.00 வரை எமகண்டம். எனவே எமகண்டம் முடிந்த பிறகு - அதாவது காலை 9 மணிக்கு மேல் 11 மணிக்குள் கடக லக்னத்தில் முஹுர்த்தம் அமைக்க வேண்டும்.

Royapuram or Tambaram ?
ROYAPURAM or TAMBARAM?
Madras, that is Chennai, has two Railway terminals - Central and Egmore. As the city has grown and expanded now, a need is felt for a third terminal to be built. Should it be Royapuram in the north Madras or Tambaram in the south Madras? Today (20 Jan 2012) a team is visiting Royapuram to have a proper personal perspective.
Now, to history:
Madras was founded over 370 years ago by Francis Day (and Andrew Cogan) in 1639 when he purchased 3 sq miles of land north of San Thome. Madras started growing, mostly around the Fort. George Town [Black Town] for formed for the settlement of Indians working for the British. Business houses were developed near and around Town. A road was built in 1814 to reach these main business houses.
First Line Beach, it was then called, later changed to North Beach Road, and now renamed as Rajaji Salai. Parallel to this road was built Second Line Beach. On these two roads British constructed great merchant houses and banking institutions. Virtually just from these two roads, the British "ruled" financially the Madras City ! Those days, the First Line Beach was indeed THE beach - with Marina being reserved for the Blacks [local Madras people]
In 1845 a plan to build a Harbour was mooted, plan approved in 1857, work commenced in 1859 and a mole was opened in 1861. By 1881 the work was more or less completed and Madras had a harbour finally in 1881. Madras Harbour Board [1886] became Madras Port Trust in 1905 - fortunately, this name still exists even today. Sir Francis Spring [1905 - 1919 ] who was the chairman is considered the Father of today's Madras Port. Business on the Harbour started growing by leaps and bounds.
Side by side of this growth of the harbour, North Beach Road also grew [some of the finest buildings of Madras are in this road]. Need for a Railways was felt and the FIRST RAILWAY STATION of the Madras Province was built at the end of this North Beach Road at ROYAPURAM and inaugurated in 1856. it had been the Main Terminus and Hqrs of Madras Railways since then.
Onto Railways:
The first rail track (steam locomation) was laid in 1853 linking ARCOT (now called Wallajahpet in the Bangalore line) to the west with ROYAPURAM in the north Madras. this line was later extended and steam locomation traffic opened on July 1, 1856 [three years after VT - Thane opened].
Royapuram was the premier station till 1907 when Madras Central station took over this honour. In 1873 Central was a small station. After Central became the premier station, ROYAPURAM started losing its importance and traffic.
Today, this station lies totally neglected and forlorn. However in recent years with the MRTS coming up, local trains to Ambattur, Avadi and beyond, run via this station. Seven long-distance trains to Hyderabad, Kolkatta, and the North speed past this old station. There is a vast open land (about 76 acres) here, so the pro-Royapuram activists say the proposed Terminus can easily be built here. More than enough land-space is available for parking, they say.
I too vote for Royapuram, since it would greatly improve the North Chennai which is totally neglected by successive Govts.
