Our Mumbai - Delhi Visits #1. MUMBAI (Thane, Malad) Vijaya and I left Chennai at 11.55 midday on Thursday, 19th March for Thane by Mumbai Express. We traveled by 3 AC. Traveled the entire day and night and reached Thane the next day (20th March) by 12.45 midday. Vishnu had come to the station to receive us. We drove to Regency Towers and had lunch. Savithri and Vasanth reached by 2 PM. 21-03-2015 At Sudhakar flat. 1st day rites of the Annual. Sithakumbam. At 3 PM we two went to Krishnaraj house and then to Nirupama house where Kamakshi is staying for the day. Kamakshi and Krishnaraj are leaving Mumbai permanently for settling in Bangalore by this April end. 22-03-2015 2nd day rites. Sugavanam came by flight from Chennai. Vijaya cooked. 23-03-2015 VARUSHAPTIKAM of Sundaresan. Vijaya cooked. 24-03-2015 Grekkiam. Went off well. Lunch from caterers. We two left Thane at 5 PM along with Sugavanam whose flight was at 7.30. SUNDARESAN SUBRAMANIAM. 01-07-1937                    03-04-2014 Sundaresan was born at Salem on 01 July 1937. He had his earlier education at Salem where our parents lived that time. Later, they shifted to Cuddalore circa 1948. We lived there for nearly 45 years. Sundaresan had his higher school education at St Joseph’s High School, Manjakuppam and passed out in 1952. Then he joined Tamilnadu Polytechnic, Madurai for his LEE (electrical) diploma. He lived there at our eldest mama ,Sri Chidambaram Iyer’s house for three years who and mami took good care of Sundaresan. After obtaining his LEE diploma, he came back to Thirupapuliyur where our father, Sri GR Subramania Iyer put him in TNEB office at Villupuram. He served at a couple of places in South Arcot Dist and moved to Western Tamilnadu to places like Puliampatti, Singarapettai, Thiruppaththur, Perundurai, Coimbatore, Ooty (Kunda...

Thursday 3 April, 2014. 4 PM My landline phone rang and when I answered, it was Suresh and he gave the most stunning and unbelievable news that SUNDARESAN , his father and my elder brother, had passed away at Dapodi Pune an hour earlier (3:05 PM). I couldn't find words to speak or console him. As per his request, I started calling everyone in the family and conveyed this sad news. Sundaresan was suffering from minor ailments (or so we thought) for the past 7 days. He and Manni were to leave for Thane for further treatment; Suresh came in car to pick them up. As they came one floor down, on the 1st floor, Sundaresan felt unwell, wanted to sit, and sat in a chair, but collapsed suddenly. A few seconds ago he was speaking, next second he was no more. He was 76 and 9 months. We two planned to go to Thane / Mumbai by 5 AM or 8:30 AM flight, but we were told the rites would be over by the time we reach Pune - so we dropped that idea. 4th April 2014 Friday. விஜயாவின் பெரிய அண்ணா கணேசனின் மனைவியும், விஜயாவின் மன்னியுமாகிய சுபத்ரா, 2013ம் வருஷம் ஆகஸ்ட் மாசம் 13 ஆம் தேதி காலை 10-45 சுமாருக்கு பம்பாயில் காலமானார். அவருக்கு வயது 65. நானும் விஜயாவும் அன்று காலைதான் பெங்களூர் சென்றோம். அஷோக் வீட்டில் இருந்த போது விஷயம் தெரிய வந்தது. அர்விந்த் எங்கள் விமான டிக்கெட்டை ஏற்பாடு பண்ணினான். ஆக 24 அன்று விடியற்காலை 6-10 விமானத்தில் நாங்கள் இருவரும் பம்பாய் கிளம்பினோம். அஷோக் - நீரஜா காரில் எங்களை விமான் நிலையத்தில் விட்டார்கள். பம்பாயில் கண்டிவிலி என்னும் இடத்தில் ரவியின் வீட்டில் இருந்தோம். மறுநாள், 25-08-2013 அன்று சுபத்ரா மன்னியின் 13-ஆம் நாள் காரியம் (சுபஸ்யம்) நடந்தது. 26-ஆம் தேதியன்று தாணே சென்று கிருஷ்ணராஜ் வீட்டில் தங்கினோம். அடுத்த நாள் 27-08- அன்று பகல் 1-40 மணி விமானத்தில் கிளம்பி, பெங்களூர் திரும்பினோம். இதன் முழு விவரங்களையும், ஃபோட்டோக்களையும் இங்கு படிக்கவும். http://en-jannal.blogspot.in/2013/09/our-bangalore-visit-aug2013.html ராஜப்பா பெங்களூர் 28-08-2013
