ARUN SHIFTS TO BANGALORE. Arun got a job at Bangalore and he joined there on 1st August 2012. He left Gayathri, Sowmya , and Sriram at Padur, Chennai itself for the completion of the Academic year 2012-13 Sowmya and Sriram wrote the entrance exam at Vag devi school Bangalore on 15 Dec 2012; Sowmya was successful but Sriram is to write again in Jan 2013. He wrote on 19 Jan 2013 and got admission. Arun paid 41900 for Sowmya and 41500 for Sriram on 26 Jan 2013. Thus the School admission formalities were successfully completed. He decided to shift to Bangalore by end-March and he started his preparations accordingly. He finalised a house (2nd floor) at Marathahalli, Bangalore by 1st week of March. Rent Rs 13000.00 and advance Rs 70000. He paid the advance and did the paal kaaychi kudiththal on 13 March. We went to Padur on 2 March and stayed there for 6 days. Arun - Gayathri booked their flat with XA realtors nearly 18 months ago, in late 2009. The plot is at Padur village, in Old Mamallapuram Road (OMR, now Rajiv Gandhi Salai) 22 kms away from Thiruvanmiyur. The registration papers were signed by Arun at Tirupporur on 19 Nov 2009 (read here). The flat was ready and the Key was handed over to A-G on 5th April 2011. Even though A-G wished to have the Gruha pravesam in Feb/March itself, the builder wasn't ready; finally the GP at the new house was performed on 17 April 2011 (details here). Once GP was performed A-G started with the woodwork (modular kitchen etc). New electrical fittings like split AC, fans, lamps were bought and fixed in the new house. Date for shifting was fixed as 4th June. As we two had shifted to Thiruvanmiyur a week earlier, we went to A-G's house (10 minutes by walk) by 10AM with lunch. We were ready but the packer didn't turn up. He promised he would come the next morning at 6 itself! Next morning...

Our eldest son ARUN has planned to purchase a flat at Padur, about 25 km from Adyar. He took home loan from SBI. The registration was on Thursday the 19th November 2009 at the Sub-Registrar office at Tirupporur, another 10 km away. Arun, Gayathri, Sowmya, Sriram, Vijaya, I, and Mr Balasubramanian (Gayathri’s father) started at 10-50AM on 19-11-2009. Earlier we reached his house at 0800 AM, had lunch there. After travelling for 45 minutes on Rajiv Gandhi Salai (OMR), we stopped at Padur and saw the site where the building will come up. Now it is barren. From there, we went to Tirupporur. The Sub-Registrar office is located near the Murugan Koil tank. We reached there by 12 noon. The signing of the official papers by Arun was completed by 2-15 PM. So now Arun-Gayathri are officially owners of the house. While waiting, we took idli there on the steps of the koil kulam. Sriram and Sowmya enjoyed the kulam water.
